About Me

My photo
Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom
I have been crafting since May 2008, when in desperation to find an unusual birthday card for my Mum, I gave up looking in the shops and decided to have a go at making my own. I soon realised that crafting is addictive and I haven't brought a card since. In 2011 I completed my certificate in papercrafting as a result of the work I did as part of the course I started entering challenges on line and in magazines. I applied for design teams and also started making samples for Ooh La La Creations for their shows on Create and Craft. I have now completed my Diploma in professional crafting and most recently been runner up in the Papercrafter of the Year 2013 a competition run by Papercraft essentials magazine, I don't have a particular style I like to use elements from lots of styles and techniques, although I do love all things vintage. In 2014 I started to move more towards scrapbooking to take care of the huge family archive of photographs that were stored in my attic. I have continued cardmaking and Scrapbooking through 2015 and 2016 but have also become interested in off the page projects. I hope to be able focus on these in the future.

Use a Bow at Ooh La La Creations

Hi There, well what great male themed card we had for the last challenge. You can check out if you have won at Ooh La La Creations Challenge Blog.

This time our theme is use a bow - so get out your ribbon, lace, string and twine and  see what you can come up with.

I made the following card using a digi stamp from digi stamps 4 joy and backing papers from the Shawn Jenkins collection CD

I needed a card quickly for my stepdaughter and her family who were moving into a new house. Made with just 1 days notice - her dad forgot to tell me she was moving.

It really was a quick and easy card and she loved it.

Birthday Boy at Ooh La La Creations

Hello everyone firstly thanks for all the lovely CAS cards last time to see if you are in our top three go and check out the Ooh La La Creations Challenge Blog .

This time our theme is Birthday Boy so lets see all your male themed Birthday cards.

I used a pyramage sheet from the Boys to Men CD but changed the colouring to Sepia toning on my graphics programme. The tickets are from the Say it with Words CD. The striped backing paper is also from the Boys to Men CD and I added a plain blue strip that had been wrapped with a paler blue ribbon and two pearl buttons to finish.

Both the CD's I used can be purchased from the Ooh La La Creations shop

Clean and Simple at Ooh La La Creations

Hello There firstly thank you for sharing all your wonderful fancy folds with us last time to check out to see if you made our top three check out the Ooh La La creations Challenge Blog.

We have gone from one extreme to the other this time with the theme for the next fortnights challenge being

Clean and Simple

I used one of our older CD's 'Silhouette Magic' to come up with this pretty card.

I just printed the image off and made my sentiment from one of the blank tags on the disc. I used pearl paper in pale blue and pink for the matting and layering and added a grey polka dot ribbon and three pearls to finish.
