About Me

My photo
Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom
I have been crafting since May 2008, when in desperation to find an unusual birthday card for my Mum, I gave up looking in the shops and decided to have a go at making my own. I soon realised that crafting is addictive and I haven't brought a card since. In 2011 I completed my certificate in papercrafting as a result of the work I did as part of the course I started entering challenges on line and in magazines. I applied for design teams and also started making samples for Ooh La La Creations for their shows on Create and Craft. I have now completed my Diploma in professional crafting and most recently been runner up in the Papercrafter of the Year 2013 a competition run by Papercraft essentials magazine, I don't have a particular style I like to use elements from lots of styles and techniques, although I do love all things vintage. In 2014 I started to move more towards scrapbooking to take care of the huge family archive of photographs that were stored in my attic. I have continued cardmaking and Scrapbooking through 2015 and 2016 but have also become interested in off the page projects. I hope to be able focus on these in the future.

Circles and Squares at Ooh La La Creations

Hello everyone, Thank you for your entries in our last challenge to use a pre-coloured image to find out if you have made the top three check out the Ooh La La Creations Challenge blog.

For the next fortnight we are looking for your designs using

Circles and Squares

I have once again used the gorgeous Shawn Jenkins CD click on the image below to order your copy

I started with the topper as the boxes were a mix of circles and squares. From there I used a checked backing paper (squares) and the basket weave paper (squares). I added a doily (circle) and then used the card candy type embellishments from the folder on the CD (circles) and the buttons from the same folder (squares).

Using a pre coloured image over at Ooh La La Creations

Hello everyone in blog land. Thanks for all your entries in the last challenge 'Nursery Times' to check if you are in the top three check out the Ooh La La Creations Challenge blog.

Our theme this time is

Use a Pre Coloured Image

Once again I have gone with the Shawn Jenkins CD to produce this card

I kept the design fairly simple in keeping with the simplicity of the image I added a die cut beach hut and two sand dunes made out of sandpaper to the card. The Bucket and spade were made using a tattered lace die. I tucked a bit of green net from a tomato bag behind the bucket then added some real shells from my local beach. The wooden embellishments are buttons and I added 3 mother of pearl buttons to finish.
