About Me

Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom
I have been crafting since May 2008, when in desperation to find an unusual birthday card for my Mum, I gave up looking in the shops and decided to have a go at making my own. I soon realised that crafting is addictive and I haven't brought a card since. In 2011 I completed my certificate in papercrafting as a result of the work I did as part of the course I started entering challenges on line and in magazines. I applied for design teams and also started making samples for Ooh La La Creations for their shows on Create and Craft. I have now completed my Diploma in professional crafting and most recently been runner up in the Papercrafter of the Year 2013 a competition run by Papercraft essentials magazine, I don't have a particular style I like to use elements from lots of styles and techniques, although I do love all things vintage. In 2014 I started to move more towards scrapbooking to take care of the huge family archive of photographs that were stored in my attic. I have continued cardmaking and Scrapbooking through 2015 and 2016 but have also become interested in off the page projects. I hope to be able focus on these in the future.

Once Upon A Time at Ooh La La Creations

Hello everyone, firstly thank you for your wonderfully inspirational cards for our last challenge to see if you were a winner please check out Ooh La La Creations Challenge Blog.

Our Theme for the next two weeks is ....

'Once Upon A Time'

We want to see your projects inspired by stories or books all we ask is that if it isn't immediately obvious which book or story has inspired your card that you give the DT a heads up in your blog.

I went with Cinderella as my inspiration and used papers and a topper from the 'Nursery Times CD'

I added elements from the story such as Cinders dancing with her prince the pumpkin and the coach and finished off with a 'glass' slipper to hold the sentiment.

I used the starlight background paper on the inside of the card and cut cinders from the topper image using a small circle die to finish.

Start the Year with Words to Inspire at Ooh La La Creations

Hello everyone and a very Happy 2015 to you all. Firstly what a marvellous response to our last challenge some 200 entries, to see if you have made our top 3 please go and check out the Ooh La La Creations challenge blog.

Our first challenge of 2015 is 'Words to Inspire' so check out the DT projects whilst you are there.

I used the 'Say it with Words' CD for my DT Project.

It really was a very simple card and I just used the topper and the matching papers from the CD. I used matt black card to layer onto as I felt this made teh image pop and then I added some lace, ribbon bling and flowers.

I used matching papers inside and matching motifs backed onto doilies to finish the card off.
